#JustDoIt    The words hang in the air right now.  Memes everywhere, folks ticked off at one another. Brilliant or not so brilliant marketing by Nike.   Well, it did draw an immense amount of attention to the brand, hence giving it a lot of air space and putting the brand in front of all. So perhaps it did what it was meant to do ….for Nike.

Unfortunately, it also gave opportunity to stir up strife with a lot of people.  It caused some to feel their service to our nation was dishonored. People got angry, set Nike shoes on fire, got mad at friends on Facebook (all too common these days).

As I watched many of the posts, I was irritated to see the fallout.   I went on with my day and was asking the Lord “what’s the right answer; how do we deal with this stuff? It’s gotten crazy on social media and any media with the back and forth.  How is a believer to view and respond?”

As I went along cleaning I heard “Do the work of an evangelist”.  I went and looked up the scripture.  2 Timothy 4:5 Paul tells Timothy  “But you keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry. NIV

I felt like the Lord was saying to me “keep your focus; make My mission your focus”. Yes, there’s a lot going on, but the truth is we are to be salt and light. Not hiding our light under a basket.  One work of the evangelist is bringing the good news of the gospel of Christ.  The truth is Jesus longs for no man to perish, but for all to come to everlasting life.

This question hung in the air as I meditated on all the current happenings online. Some of these things, if we’re not careful could veer us off course with what God’s doing right now.  (See “Don’t Take the Bait”)  That’s not to say stick your head in the sand and don’t engage in healthy dialogue with others.  No way.

The message I was getting is that it’s time to labor to bring in the harvest.  The time is ripe for salvations, healings, deliverance, seeing miracles, signs and wonders; welcoming the prodigals home.

All of Second Timothy is awesome.  But check out Chapter 4:1-5  Paul exhorts Timothy I’m verse 2  ”Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all long suffering and teaching. “

I love Isaiah 52:7  “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaims peace,  who brings glad tidings of good things, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, ‘Your God Reigns’”!!!

Prayer: Lord give us beautiful feet to spread the good news!   Help us to incline ourselves to Your mission and purpose so we may see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living🙂

Caution…Speak, but Don’t Take the Bait

Another fabulous effort to divide people from one another….. authored by….. the author of confusion himself…. satan. Don’t be deceived; if the fruit stinks throw it out. Wash your hands and move back toward unity.

The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy. John 10:10. He is a master deceiver, so don’t take the bait. The bait usually leads to confusion and division (among other things); and causes one to lose focus on what the Lord actually has for them to do, to hear and see.

When that happens the master deceiver has accomplished part of his purpose. The enemy gains ground when he divides.

So if you find yourself in a winding circle of frustration from social media, news(false and real), find yourself getting irritated by people around you, find yourself not being able to focus on much else because your thoughts are consumed by the one thing someone said that irritated you; I urge you to stop and take a moment to realize the master deceiver may be trying to bait you. Maybe it’s time to take a step back and listen to His still small voice.

In no way am I saying you should silence your voice on something, or become “politically correct”. I guess what I feel is a gesture of taking a moment to check what we say, write, comment etc., to see what spirit we are coming from. I mean seriously, Jesus flipped tables and was righteously angry, yet He loved well and deeply. The word says “Be angry, but don’t sin” Eph. 4:26.
Be passionate and loving in approach to bring forth truth. (Believe me, I’m taking this for me today as well) :)))

vectorstock_794200Rabbit trail moment …. I’ve sat in several forums recently where leaders outside of the church are using and misusing scripture to lend credibility to their words and platform. Some are using correctly; however, I sat in one where it was being used to accuse someone and tear them down; to destroy their character. This was in a public forum.  Remember, even when the Lord brings a word of rebuke, there is ALWAYS a redemptive purpose. Stop falling for the tricks of, yes, another name of the enemy, Accuser of the brethren. Rev. 12:10 shows the function of this part of the enemy’s nature. So when we engage in useless chatter that leads to accusation, be careful, it’s a trap. I think that’s why Paul urges us to pray unceasingly….. 1 Thess 5:16-18.

2 Timothy 3:16-17. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. The word is for us, as believers…. not for the world to take and pervert. Note: the above Word was for “the man of God”.  Remember when Jesus was in the wilderness the enemy tempted Him and used the word to try and trip Him up. I have great caution when media outlets and people in meetings begin using the Word to condemn, attack and accuse.

Don’t fall for the lie and lose focus.  One of the tactics of the enemy is to keep our focus skewed off of what’s important.

So here’s the question of the day…… what’s important for us to focus on today personally?

So, probably as we sit with Him, He is great to share those strategies and plans and direct our steps in the right way. The Lord is faithful to help guide us into truth and to even expose deceptions going on around us.

Perhaps this is only for me today, but if it’s helpful for you, awesome 🙏

I’m seriously looking forward to Revelation 12:9, but believing for many to be led out of deception before then 🙏

Interesting reading:
2 Timothy 3:13
Daniel 8:25
2 Cor. 2:10,11
2 Timothy 2 … just an awesome chapter to meditate in… period.
1 John 2:13-14. Lord help us to abide in Your word and be strong. The word will keep us from deception
Just a few….. so many more good scriptures

Lord, I thank You that You are faithful to lead and guide us into all truth.  I pray You would open our eyes, and cause us to see hear and understand the hour we live in and how what to do in this hour.  I thank You for the bold voices that are standing for what You’ve called them to stand for; and I pray You would give us boldness to declare Your word to the world, that many may be saved. Lord keep us from deception and help us to walk as a light to the world; not hiding our lamps.   I pray for the discernment to see the enemy immediately in situations that may be meant to distract us from true purpose.  Lord we love and bless You, In Jesus Name.

Stop: What do you see today?

typoramaSurely He opens our eyes to behold the majesty He has placed before us.  Yet do we truly take time to gaze upon all He has placed around us, or do we race through the days trying to get “through” it all?  Do we actually see what’s right in front of us?

We’ve all heard it said “stop and smell the roses”.  How many of us actually partake of that adage?  I can at times get so caught up in the every day, that I can lose focus.  Distractions come; circumstances arise that don’t always look favorable.  I’m reminded of the scripture in Psalm 27:4, “I have asked one thing from the Lord, it is what I desire:  to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, gazing on the beauty of the Lord and seeking Him in His temple.”.  Holman Christian Standard version

In Psalm 27, David was surrounded by enemies.  He begins this Psalm by making a declaration of who His God is.  His testimony continues with the intensity of his adversaries’ attempts to take him down.  Yet in the middle of all of this turmoil, we find David stopping to refocus and set his attention on the prize…His deepest desire…”to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple.”

As he thinks on the beauty of the Lord, a shift happens.  The revelation of God hiding him in the secret place, and lifting him u p above the heads of his enemies begins to emerge.  Confidence in Him begins to ascend as he continues to speak to his soul.  His trust in the goodness of God prevails as he meditates on God’s faithfulness.  Steadfast trust in God arises.

What has the Lord placed before us on a day to day basis that would cause us to stop, to draw near and see His majesty?  As we are surrounded with distractions and challenges daily, our ability to behold Him could catapult our understanding of His goodness to a whole new level.  As we begin to see things through His eyes, our perspective changes.  We see His glory being revealed in people, places and circumstances.  We even begin to see His glory revealed in us.  2Corinthians 3:18:  We are continually being transformed into His likeness and image…”from one degree of glory to even more glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit”.  Amp

I am challenged today and encouraged that He places these things in front of us to draw us, to attract us, and to train us.  Today I set my gaze on Him, His beauty and His glory.  As we do this,  we begin to reflect the glory of Christ in us.

Prayer:  Father, I thank You that You are a God who sees us, who loves us and leads us into new dimensions of Your truth.  Help us Lord to see the things you have around us with Your eyes.  Open them so we see what it is that You see.  Help me Lord to stop when things are intense, to refocus and see all You are doing.  Lord, teach us to stop and look and gaze upon You and who You are.  Great is Your faithfulness and love for us.  You will never leave us or forsake us.  You are perfecting that which concerns us.  Thank You Lord!!! I pray You would encounter those that take the time today to read this.  Pour out Your unfailing love on them and help them to know how You see them.  Let them know You love them.

Blessings to you,

Hidden Things About To Be Revealed…

This morning, as I was sitting having coffee… contemplating and worshipping, I heard the Lord say clearly “Hidden things are about to be revealed; purpose to be revealed”, so I declared, ‘ hidden things align in Jesus’ name”.   Then I heard “DETERMINE YOU’LL DO IT!”

That caught my attention!  I knew God was pointing to something in myself I had to address.  I know there’ve been times I have hesitated when something was in front of me.

So I looked up the word determine:

  1.  to cause (something) to occur in a particular way; be the decisive factor in. Synonyms: control, decide, regulate affect; govern
  2. ascertain or establish exactly
  3. firmly decide. Synonyms: resolve, decide, make up ones mind, purpose

God was pressing then”Preparation Button” on the inside of me….. we are usually very close to the thing we’ve been believing for, standing for….when the enemy comes in to try and discourage and break confidence in the Lord.  But this was was the Lord saying “get ready’!!!

When we “determine” to do something we actively awaken ourselves to participate with God’s purpose and will…….even before it’s revealed.   By faith in Him, and His plan, His way of doing a thing.  As we do this, we begin to agree with what heaven is saying (about us, about process, timing, about who God is for us in these moments).  Because of that, we begin to make choices that align us to be positioned  to allow the Spirit of God to transform us, to order our steps.

God will begin to deposit in us His vision as we align with Him; as we set our gaze on Him, as we purpose to do His will; as we begin to ask Him to let us see, as He sees.

During this process, the Holy Spirit teaches us how to go deeper in our friendship with the Lord.  We decrease, and He increases.  Through this, we begin to commit ourselves and vision to the lord, so He can establish it.  (I’d rather the Lord establish it than me; it will stand then!)

Note:  you don’t have to understand everything right now. He will reveal it!  Just step in faith!  Psalm 37:1-8…… awesome words to pray and establish your way and your trust in Him and the process!

The Lord uses everything in our every day to prepare us, to align us closer with Him, to process out the things that would hinder us from moving forward, and to impart more of Himself and what we need to be prepared.  Process is an opportunity to be transformed more into His likeness and image, so others can see Him on the earth.

I’m “Determining NOW I’ll Do It!”, so when the purpose and plan begins to manifest, I’ll be ready to step into that prophetic destiny, that calling, that purpose!

For His promises for us ARE…..YES and AMEN!!!

I pray for you today Eph. 1:18-20  Lord, I ask that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, theFather of Glory, would give you the Spirit of Wisdom, revelation and the knowledge of Him. That the eyes of your understanding would be opened, that you would know the hope of His calling, and what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.

My Yoke is Easy…..

Kids with dad at work today……..

So….. while running some errands this am, I’ve been listening to Graham Cooke series Radical Permission, from Brilliant TV mentorship. I am seriously undone this afternoon; and gratefully so. I am growing to realize that perhaps there are things the Lord is re-writing in my understanding of Him; in how He speaks and how He relates. He is faithful to pull us closer and help us to hear better.   And as we let Him, He will reveal more of Himself.

After I turned off the recording, the Holy Spirit spoke very simply. “My yoke is easy”

This is what I heard as I listened quietly to Holy Spirit:

My yoke is easy and My burden is light. After all I’ve already paid it all.
Radical obedience is fostered through love. My love for you is all consuming, all encompassing, unconditional unapologetic love. I never apologize for loving you. I created you for my pleasure and in you I have put everything you need for godliness and holiness. I oil you. I provide for you, I delight in you.
It’s a super natural love that knows no boundaries or limits – Breaking free from the limitations of mans expectations and judgments.

Prophecy aligned is prophecy refined. As you consume yourself with My thoughts, My ways, My character, you will begin to see the process.

So take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble of heart and you will find rest for your souls. Matt. 11:29 Bearean Study Bible
By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. 2 Peter 1:3

In our quest to be pleasing to God; to “do” everything right; it is possible we can miss the simplicity of relationship with a loving God, who paid the ultimate price just to “walk with Him in the cool of the day”.  Who wants to communicate with us, to walk with us through our days.  (He is always present)

I don’t know about you; but there have been times I have thought ” I did this, or I didn’t do this right, so He must be disappointed or mad with me.”   Absolute LIE of the devil.  He wants to confuse you about your identity in Christ. When we received Jesus’ finished work of the cross for ourself, our old man DIED!   It is not by works we are saved (Eph. 2:8,9). Faith in the finished work of the cross is what sets us apart to Him.  We continue to build up “our new man in Christ” .  I loved this from G.Cooke…… and Jesus…….. “Our OLD MAN is DEAD”.  We are buried in His identity if we are born again. We are Risen with Him in His glory.  So we have to continue to build the new in us.

He makes it easy….. He has already finished the work. Now we get to learn to partake of a relationship with Him.  It’s His greatest pleasure that we enjoy Him.  And as we do, it will be our greatest Joy while we are on this earth.

I pray you are blessed by this. I am on a journey with the most wonderful, kind, loving God. My prayer for you is that you sense His presence and love for you today!  Thank you for taking the time to read 😊

Awaken The Cry, Lord!!!My heart cries today for the effects the condition of our Nation is having on our children. How we handle the conflict of our day will be seen a generation from now. What we sow now will be reaped later. Are our children learning to hate, or to love. Are our children learning to know Him, or being taught to strive for what is not necessarily sin, but also not profitable. Are they learning to be givers, or takers. Are they learning to persevere or quit. Are they really learning what is right by biblical standards, or mans opinions. Will they learn to fight on their knees to bring the kingdom here, or will they war with their own flesh and chase foolishness??? (Click to read further)

And on the questions can go. We can’t just live for today and for ourselves. I want to see them walk in miracles, signs and wonders. To bring insight and wisdom into our communities and nation; make dramatic impact on our culture. To be what they were created to be. To bring light to darkness.
Many are standing and modeling what’s right for our children, but there is a lot that is fighting for their attention, a future generation of great leaders. The question is what price are we willing to pay to invest in them today, for a harvest of tomorrow? Or will we lose them to a world’s system…….. We have the power to choose to provide a rich inheritance for them in the earth. I’m choosing to sow righteousness today for harvest tomorrow. I do not always have the right answers, but the Word of God has a beautiful script for me to follow. Jer. 29:11-14; Is. 62:10. Let’s clear a path for these kids together!

God’s Got This!  Keep Your Eyes on Him!!!

“Stay alert! This is hazardous work I’m assigning you! You’re going to be like sheep running through a wolf pack, so don’t bring attention to yourselves. Be as cunning as a snake, inoffensive as a dove.” Matthew 10:16 Message

In times of adversity it can be challenging to “keep your eyes on the prize”. The enemy will try and throw obstacles and hinderances on our path to redirect us, discourage us and block our forward movement. During times of transition, it’s imperative to keep our eyes higher, (on Christ) and our hearts clean (Create in me a clean heart oh God, and renew a right spirit in me). I pray this regularly, because let’s be real, there is a lot of opportunity to get offended. Take no offense during this season. Sometimes that’s easier said than done. Practice forgiveness, practice love, attack discouragement and depression with His promises and word. The enemy has been trying to unleash lies over people saying they have no value, no place, no importance…. No one cares, etc! Recognize the lie and cast down the argument! It is coming to try and attack your identity in Christ, therefore affecting your authority, and hindering your victory. We declare these lies and attacks broken off of your life today in Jesus name and cast down every wrong thought pattern that would take us out of a wrong alignment. We command depression to be broken today in Jesus name, discouragement go!!!!!! We declare we are victorious in Christ, that His plans for us are for good and not harm; that when we seek Him we find Him. That he loves us and is for us. That He is directing our steps and making us effective in the Kingdom!!!! No more doubt! No more lies!!!!

We are about to break out into the greatest time in history; God is totally in charge and control! It’s no mistake the areas you are assigned in, work, family, education spheres, etc. He has an assignment for you, you have a destiny and purpose. Get with God and He will reveal the strategies and wisdom to affect the area you are in right now. He has an amazing place and purpose for you. We are all valuable! There’s not one of us that is not! There is a well of restoration and refreshing and healing available if we ask. All we need to do is “step in”. Read Psalm 46:4-7. Message version great too on this. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy dwelling place of the Most High, God is in the midst of her, she will NOT be moved; God will help her when morning dawns…….the nations made an uproar, the kingdoms tottered, He raised His voice, the earth melted. The Lord of hosts is with us, the God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah”!
