Another fabulous effort to divide people from one another….. authored by….. the author of confusion himself…. satan. Don’t be deceived; if the fruit stinks throw it out. Wash your hands and move back toward unity.
The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy. John 10:10. He is a master deceiver, so don’t take the bait. The bait usually leads to confusion and division (among other things); and causes one to lose focus on what the Lord actually has for them to do, to hear and see.
When that happens the master deceiver has accomplished part of his purpose. The enemy gains ground when he divides.
So if you find yourself in a winding circle of frustration from social media, news(false and real), find yourself getting irritated by people around you, find yourself not being able to focus on much else because your thoughts are consumed by the one thing someone said that irritated you; I urge you to stop and take a moment to realize the master deceiver may be trying to bait you. Maybe it’s time to take a step back and listen to His still small voice.
In no way am I saying you should silence your voice on something, or become “politically correct”. I guess what I feel is a gesture of taking a moment to check what we say, write, comment etc., to see what spirit we are coming from. I mean seriously, Jesus flipped tables and was righteously angry, yet He loved well and deeply. The word says “Be angry, but don’t sin” Eph. 4:26.
Be passionate and loving in approach to bring forth truth. (Believe me, I’m taking this for me today as well) :)))
Rabbit trail moment …. I’ve sat in several forums recently where leaders outside of the church are using and misusing scripture to lend credibility to their words and platform. Some are using correctly; however, I sat in one where it was being used to accuse someone and tear them down; to destroy their character. This was in a public forum. Remember, even when the Lord brings a word of rebuke, there is ALWAYS a redemptive purpose. Stop falling for the tricks of, yes, another name of the enemy, Accuser of the brethren. Rev. 12:10 shows the function of this part of the enemy’s nature. So when we engage in useless chatter that leads to accusation, be careful, it’s a trap. I think that’s why Paul urges us to pray unceasingly….. 1 Thess 5:16-18.
2 Timothy 3:16-17. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. The word is for us, as believers…. not for the world to take and pervert. Note: the above Word was for “the man of God”. Remember when Jesus was in the wilderness the enemy tempted Him and used the word to try and trip Him up. I have great caution when media outlets and people in meetings begin using the Word to condemn, attack and accuse.
Don’t fall for the lie and lose focus. One of the tactics of the enemy is to keep our focus skewed off of what’s important.
So here’s the question of the day…… what’s important for us to focus on today personally?
So, probably as we sit with Him, He is great to share those strategies and plans and direct our steps in the right way. The Lord is faithful to help guide us into truth and to even expose deceptions going on around us.

Prayer:
Lord, I thank You that You are faithful to lead and guide us into all truth. I pray You would open our eyes, and cause us to see hear and understand the hour we live in and how what to do in this hour. I thank You for the bold voices that are standing for what You’ve called them to stand for; and I pray You would give us boldness to declare Your word to the world, that many may be saved. Lord keep us from deception and help us to walk as a light to the world; not hiding our lamps. I pray for the discernment to see the enemy immediately in situations that may be meant to distract us from true purpose. Lord we love and bless You, In Jesus Name.
